Australia’s only sub-regional wine show, the Marananga wine show, took place for the ninth time in the Barossa Valley this weekend. Steve Pannell chaired the judging panel through a tasting of over 120 entries from small growers and hobbyists, right through to established and well known wineries. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/foodanddrink/9298210/Alfresco-drinking-the-best-summer-wine.html?frame=2233974 In last Saturday’s Daily Telegraph Magazine (the best selling broadsheet newspaper in the UK) the TerraVin Pinot Noir 2010 was featured as one of Hamish Anderson’s summer wine choices. This is what it said: ‘Mike Eaton set out a decade ago to make world-class Pinot Noir in an area obsessed with Sauvignon Blanc. The 2010 vintage proves he was not mad. It fills the mouth with plums, dark cherries and Asian spices, yet is also ethereal and perfumed. Don’t let it get too warm and serve with a slow-cooked shoulder of lamb.’

Eddie’s vision for his wine retail shop is very consistent with ours at Cuvees – to make wine consumption fun and enjoyable. Other similarities we share is that we started … Click For More

Just received an email from Angela, Maria Vittoria and Fausto Maculan regarding the most recent tasting notes and ratings by the Wine Advocate: RP96 – Maculan Madoro Rosso Veneto IGT 2009 The 2009 Madoro flows from the glass with plums, black cherries, mocha, espresso, grilled herbs and spices.
