Alberto Burzi's 2021 Barolo reflects his journey from Roberto Voerzio's tutelage to his own innovative vision. Sourced from prime vineyards including 90-year-old Capalot, he employs tressage and cover cropping for optimal ripeness. Uniquely aged in steam-treated Stockinger casks (avoiding traditional toasting), this Nebbiolo achieves remarkable equilibrium. It showcases ethereal weightlessness alongside intense concentration, with pure red fruit and mineral complexity. A departure from his mentor's extracted style, this Barolo reveals how meticulous vineyard care and innovative aging can produce wines of compelling purity and finesse.
