Zalto Cask

ZALTO CASK is a hand-blown glass developed for ZALTO’s DENK'ART series, designed specifically for whisky, cognac, and other barrel-aged spirits. Engineered with an elongated bowl and a unique cylindrical chimney extension, its shape balances high alcohol intensity while enhancing delicate fruitiness, precision, and aroma clarity.

Development involved rigorous prototype testing alongside leading distillers, international whisky experts, and sommelier Aldo Sohm. Sohm praised the glass for its "brutally honest" presentation, noting its ability to reveal intricate flavor nuances as well as subtle production flaws.

Crafted with paper-thin walls and straight side angles, the design maintains ZALTO's minimalist aesthetic and handcrafted precision. It features a shorter stem that allows for traditional holding and swirling. Measuring 183 mm in height with a 280 ml capacity, ZALTO CASK is suitable for a wide range of spirits, including rum, armagnac, mezcal, calvados, and barrel-aged grappa.
